With regard to BDA floating tenders for the selection of consultants to prepare the RMP 2041 for the Bengaluru Local Planning Area, Namma Bengaluru Foundation after consultation with various urban planners, experts, Residential Welfare Associations (RWAs) and individuals opposed this move by the BDA as the Bengaluru Metropolitan Planning Committee (BMPC) has to prepare the Master Plan for the city and not BDA or any other agency.

A letter signed by various stakeholders stating the above was submitted to Shri Basavaraj Bommai, The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri BA Basavaraj, Hon’ble Minister for Urban Development, Government of Karnataka, Shri Rakesh Singh, IAS, Addl Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka, Urban Development Department and the Commissioner of Bangalore Development Authority.
